Nothing Ear Stick: True Wireless Earbuds

Nothing presented its Ear 1 a little over a year ago, headphones with a transparent design to make its design line clear. Now comes the Nothing Ear (stick), headphones that arrive in a quite different box, in a cylindrical format to be more comfortable and lighter compared to the current boxes.

Nothing Ear (Stick): One cylinder, two earphones

Despite the curious name, the “Stick” only refers to the box of these headphones. TWS of this type, historically, have always come in a relatively bulky and wide box, something that comes to solve this stick. The case is cylindrical and inspired by lipstick.

Ergonomics is the main strength of these headphones. They are light and adapt to our auditory pavilion

Similarly, not only is the case ergonomic but the headphones themselves. From Nothing they assure that these headphones have “an extremely comfortable design”, settling in a less intrusive way in the auditory pavilion. They only weigh 4.4 grams per earbud and aim to do as little damage as possible when worn for hours.

At the sound level, they have a 12.6mm dynamic driver customized by Nothing, promising to offer deep bass and quite high quality. The software is able to measure the user’s ear canal and detect when they start to lose bass. Upon detection, the software automatically equalizes to prevent such loss.

In addition to this curious adaptive technology, they have their own technology to improve the sound of the microphone even with strong wind and background noise. In the event that we use them with the Nothing Phone (1), we will natively have custom gestures, greater equalization settings, location mode, and more options. If we use another Android or an iPhone, we can access these options through the Nothing X app.

Regarding noise cancellation, do not expect it, being a more open mid-ear than the classic in-ear. From Nothing they tell us that the demands of the market turn in this direction, and ignoring noise cancellation is the sacrifice in this type of headphone.

Regarding autonomy, 7 hours of use and 29 with the box are promised. With just 10 minutes of charging, 2 hours of use are promised, and they can connect to Android through Fast Pair.

These Nothing Ear (Stick) headphones land in Spain at a price of 120 dollars. They can be purchased both on the Nothing page and at the main authorized distributors.
